Toughened PC is mainly divided into general-grade toughened PC and high-flow toughened PC, general-grade toughened PC materials can be used in thin-walled products, automotive parts, mobile phones and other electronic and electrical products; and high-flow PC can be used for ultra-thin-walled parts, such as flat panel back cover (0.4mm).
1. general-purpose toughened PC
Good impact resistance, impact performance can be adjusted, molding shrinkage is small, dimensional stability, good weathering, low-temperature impact is high, can be sprayed, so it can be used for mobile phone shells, thin-walled products, automotive parts and other electrical and electronic products.
2. High fluidity toughened PC
With good toughness, wide range of temperatures, can be sprayed, resistance to stress cracking, spraying high yield, high flow, suitable for point intersection injection moulding, etc., mainly used for ultra-thin-walled products, automobile parts.
Flame retardant polycarbonate has excellent mechanical properties, high heat distortion temperature, high dielectric strength, good electrical insulation, and good flame retardant effect. So it can be widely used in high-end chargers, lamp heads, switch panels and other products.
The main features of flame retardant PC materials: flame retardant performance: to UL94V0/1.5mm; ball impact: through the 1.3m/500g steel ball free-fall mounted impact; ultrasonic welding: welding can be through the free fall test; environmental performance: can be achieved ROHS, halogen-free, Reach, and other industry regulations; high heat-resistant performance: heat distortion temperature (1.82MPa/3.20mm) Reach 127 degree .
The common glass fibre reinforced PC materials are PC+10% and PC+20%, the former is mainly used in the middle frame of mobile phones; the latter is mainly used in the middle frame of mobile phones, tablet PCs, and non-steel inserts.
1. PC + 10% GF material features: excellent impact performance, good toughness; excellent heat resistance, not easy to thermal deformation, less floating fibre on the surface, uniform distribution of glass fibre; spraying performance is good, spraying low defective rate, etc..
2. PC + 20% GF material features: good fluidity, high rigidity; less floating fibre, good chemical resistance, low spraying rate.
